Butterby Shetlands have been bred for particular features which we believe are present in the foals and young stock that are available for sale.
Many of our ponies have gone on to be successfully shown by their new owners.
We are firmly committed to ensuring that the potential owners have the knowledge, skills and understanding as well as the interest and commitment to provide a caring home for our ponies.
We encourage potential owners to make full enquiries about any stock that is offered for sale. We pride ourselves on providing honest answers to the questions raised.
We want to be sure that all three parties to the sale are content with the final outcome.

Chestnut Yearling Gelding
A big pony who should mature to 41 or 42 inches (105 -107 cms).
Can be shown with confidence whilst waiting to break to ride.
Movement very impressive.
