Showing News for the start of 2009
2009 season starts well with success for several ponies including the "old fella" Butterby Express who will only go out four times this season.
At 13 Express has lost none of his enthusiasm for showing and continues to challenge against the best in CHAPS and Shetland Classes
He was first and reserve champion in the CHAPS regional show at Sedgefield Racecourse which was very pleasing for his first outing.
Now he has to get ready for his trip to the Shetland Islands where he is heading up the family entry in the progeny class in August.
He then has what might be his last visit to the CHAPS Championship Show.
Butterby Isis continues her good form from the International Show in 2008 and her ridden work is producing good results. She is also going to Shetland.
The most pleasing results are coming from Butterby Kracker shown of course by Vicky Bell. Kracker has not failed to win in all of his outings this season and has acquired two Championships and a Supreme as well as two Reserve Championships.
Now coming into his prime Kracker has matured into a stunning pony - quite different to his sire Express - but with the same quality movement but of a heavier type. He is winning lots of admirers as he goes around the country.
Kracker flys the flag in the Skewbald and Piebald Society whilst Express competes in CHAPS.
The team are looking forward to visiting the Shetland Islands for what promises to be a really enjoyable week.
