SPSBS Performance Show July 2009 - Kracker marches on!
Three ponies were taken to Malvern and all three returned with success; the long journey was certainly worth while for Butterby Kracker, Butterby Arazon (Bella) and Butterby Bliss.

2009 season starts well with success for several ponies including the "old fella" Butterby Express who will only go out four times this season.

Visit to Beamish Open Air Museum County Durham
Northern Shetland Enthusiasts
Sunday the 8th March saw the Northern Shetland Enthusiasts brave a brisk wind and snow flurries to visit the world famous Beamish Museum.
Organised through Carol and Trevor Shaw at Stonecellars Stud some 50 people enjoyed a guided tour by two of the museum’s staff who work with the horses on site.

Long Rein Success for Express
Butterby Express handled by Kayleigh Wilkinson secured first place in the senior long rein competition at the International Shetland Pony Games Show in Redefin in Germany over the weekend of the 26th and 27th July 2008

European Success for Butterby Ponies
The International Shetland Pony Show at Redefin in Germany saw ponies from the Parlington Stud, Stonecellars Stud and the Birchmoor Stud travel 400 miles each way after the ferry crossing to compete in the International Shetland Pony Games.

The International Shetland Games are being held in Redefin in Germany on July 26th and 27th 2008. Butterby Shetlands are supporting the games and taking four ponies; Butterby Express, Butterby Kracker, Butterby Isis and Butterby Aramis.

The 2008 Showing Season for Shetland Ponies and the Butterby Shetland Stud could not have been better.
Wins at the Yorkshire Spring Show; East Of England; Yorkshire CHAPS Regional Show; Malvern - Three Counties; Lanchester and the Great Yorkshire and the Royal Show; have been exceptional.

Butterby Shetlands - News - Update
Apologies for the delay in updating this section but such a lot has happened. This season has seen six championships and other achievements for Butterby Shetland ponies throughout the country.
From the North West with youngstock champion Butterby Ophelia, owned and shown by Steph and Paul Atkinson to the Royal Show where Butterby Express was first stallion for the second year in succession and went on to be Reserve Champion and Champion Opposite Sex for the second year running.

Northern Shetland Enthusiasts Visit Planned
The Parlington Stud (Di and Wilf) made us very welcome and showed us many of their foals and other stock. Situated at Horsehouse in the fabulous Yorkshire Dales this visit will now allow us to plan how we can take the group down to visit this world famous stud.
